Otis
Otis is the Maynard Police Comfort Dog and joined the Department in 2023. Otis is a 1 year old chocolate lab and came from Puddleduck Labs in Morrill, Maine.
Otis works with School Resource Officer Allison McCann and accompanies her to Maynard Public Schools, senior centers, assisted living facilities, and will also make an appearance at community events.
Otis helps with de-escalation, and provide comfort to children in need who may be experiencing or have experienced trauma.
Donations to Otis can be made online. Donations will be used for toys, food and essentials for Otis.
